THE CONTEXT
This cardboard can manufacturer was faced with production waste. Although small in size, this waste represented a significant volume to be collected throughout the factory. As part of a change in its production process, our customer wanted to improve its waste management. Waste compaction became the essential solution for maintaining a clean, smooth-running, and operational production line.
INSTALLATION
Installation of a VALPAK waste compactor. Its rotating head allows it to grind, compact, and reduce the volume of this cardboard waste. It could also be installed in a strategic location allowing for centralize multiple collection points waste.
Our design office and production team have joined forces to create a machine combining several loading systems:
– First manual loading with 770L bins: The bins are emptied using a bin tipper connected to the Valpak compactor.
– Second automated loading system using a conveyor belt that runs through the entire production line: Waste is automatically fed into the machine.
THE GAINS
– Compacted waste = less volume = reduced transport emissions
– Fewer rotations of collectors = cost reduction
– Clean production with fewer areas dedicated to waste
This installation has provided a solution for waste management, further committing this Swiss company to an environmental approach.
