Refurbished waste compactors

Alterval is committed to protecting the environment and offers used and reconditioned compactors. All of these compactors are available for sale and hire: used wood compactors, plastic compactors and cardboard compactors. This offer will enable you to make savings while processing and optimising your waste in the best possible way.

Where do Alterval’s used compactors come from?

The availability of used compactors at Alterval varies greatly depending on deliveries. There is no set stock for these types of products. We systematically carry out a complete overhaul of used and reconditioned compactors.

Alterval can adapt to all your professional projects by offering a wide range of used and reconditioned compactors :

  • Valpak® or Valpak® bac compactors are designed for cardboard, plastic or crates. Easy to use, they are quiet and take up little space.
  • The CAV screw compactor is designed for large volumes of plastic waste, pallets, crates and cardboard.
  • The Techroll is an open-top compactor for bulky waste, usually wood.
  • The vertical baler is used for small quantities of plastic or cardboard waste.
  • The manual press can compact lightweight packaging without any power supply.
  • The MONOBLOC for compacting dry or wet waste using a compaction shield.

However, we cannot guarantee the availability of all items. Certain equipment, such as Valpak®, will be more often available second-hand or reconditioned than other items, simply because they are listed in greater quantities and are more easily adaptable to a wide range of needs.

Why treat waste using a compactor?

Waste processing can quickly become a problem within a company. Without a compactor, waste can pile up and impact your storage space. Let’s take a simple example: wooden crates. This type of waste is quite bulky and can quickly take up a lot of space in your warehouses, be potentially dangerous and complicate the maintenance of your premises. Finally, this situation is not optimal in terms of human management. It forces your employees to perform numerous tasks to store the crates, reducing the amount of time they can spend on essential tasks for your company, while increasing the difficulty and risk for your employees.

Refurbished compactors address these issues for several reasons

EXTENDED STORAGE SPACE THANKS TO WASTE COMPACTING

Second-hand and reconditioned compactors are designed to transform your waste into waste bales. These bales significantly reduce the volume of your waste, making them easy to store in small spaces. Furthermore, the range of used and reconditioned balers available comes in a variety of sizes, making them suitable for your storage centres. The same applies to bales formed using used and reconditioned rotary compactors.

IMPROVED PRODUCTIVITY THANKS TO AUTOMATIC WASTE COMPACTING

Waste processing can quickly involve a lot of handling, making your employees’ work more difficult. Our used and reconditioned compactors offer the possibility of compacting waste automatically. Your employees will be able to load the used and reconditioned compactors easily, avoiding numerous trips back and forth within the storage area and allowing them to focus on priority tasks. Optimising storage space, costs and time is essential for any business. Used and reconditioned compactors meet these challenges and help reduce your carbon footprint.

REDUCED WASTE PROCESSING COSTS

The bales produced using the reconditioned used roller are easy to transport and can be produced in greater quantities. Transporters will be able to place numerous bales in collection skips or lorries, thereby reducing the number of trips between the sorting centre and the storage area. Transport costs will thus be optimised.

LOWER PURCHASE COST

Used or reconditioned compactors come with different pricing. In the vast majority of cases, only Valpak® compactors are available for purchase or hire. Prices may vary depending on the type of machine available, its condition, whether it has been reconditioned, its age, etc. Please contact our advisors to find out which models are currently available, which are being processed and the prices associated with these reconditioned compactors.

Who are used compactors intended for?

Our solutions are designed to meet your needs and solve the problems encountered in your recycling programme in terms of cost, space and the difficulty of certain recycling tasks. To cater to a wider range of customers, each compactor is designed for a specific volume and type of waste, but also to fit the space available in your warehouse. Used and reconditioned compactors are suitable for a range of sectors, regardless of company size, such as: large retailers, local authorities, logistics and industry.
